New Zealand women are significantly under-represented in property ownership, despite valuing it more highly than men. The Cotality Women & Property Report 2026 shows the gap is systemic β but the solution starts with knowledge and support.
"The challenge isn't motivation, it's knowledge, equity and support." β Kelvin Davidson, Chief Property Economist, Cotality NZRead the Cotality Women & Property Report 2026 β
Jo's community initiative dedicated to helping New Zealand women build the knowledge, confidence, and capability to invest in property. Through events, expert panels, and peer connection, it creates the pathways the market hasn't provided.

βJo has been so incredible to work with! She has been an incredible support for us as we navigated first home buying. She was always available to provide knowledge and advice when we needed and always had time for all of our questions. We went into buying our first home feeling secure and confident in our decision. We are very lucky to have her as our coach and we look forward to continuing to work with her for our future endeavours!β
βJo has been my go-to for property advice for many years. She's always available to share her knowledge on buying, renovating, and renting. What I love about Jo is her attention to detail, particularly while guiding us through due diligence. I really value her practical advice and honesty. She really knows her stuff!β
βJo has been an amazing help to me, she is so friendly and knowledgeable in all things property. Her background in law is a massive plus. Highly recommend!β
βJo blends deep knowledge with real-world execution. She turns βshould doβ into βdone,β explains the why, and then helps you do the how. Supportive, sharp, and great energy to be around.β

As a property coach, my role is fundamentally different from a real estate agent. I work exclusively for you β with no listings to push, no agent commissions to chase, and no conflicts of interest. Just honest, expert guidance.
I was born and bred in Auckland, left school at 16, and carved out a corporate career in property. I grew up in a solo-parent home, and at a young age I made a decision β that my now self would look after my future self.
That decision shaped everything. Decades of corporate experience across property law, finance, and development taught me how the industry really works β and how rarely that knowledge reaches the people who need it most.
I'm married, share my home with three cats, and race a car with the BMW Race Driver Series.
My coaching reflects both sides of who I am: the technical expertise built over 40 years, and a genuine understanding that property decisions carry real personal weight. I work especially well with AuDHD and ADHD clients β I get how your mind works because mine works the same way.
I work only for my clients β no commissions, no agenda, just honest guidance from someone who has done it herself.
"I decided young that my future self deserved better than chance. Property isn't easy β it takes knowledge, skill, and the right people around you. What I create for my clients is that environment: informed decisions, built on expertise, made on purpose."

G&E β a couple with young children and good jobs β wanted to leave a legacy for their family. Using equity in their home, they secured a 30% deposit, leveraged coaching to find this undervalued Meadowbank flat, and bid at auction. Our Barfoots agent David Wang went over and above to secure this property, and expert broker Matt Dawe of Matt Dawe Mortgages structured the finance. Day one, our build team converted a run-down 2-bed into a modern 3-bed. Rented within 2 days of completion.
T&S β a young couple building their future β wanted a first home and a wealth strategy. Sometimes buying new is the right play. We found a brand-new 3-level home in central Auckland, purchased below valuation. Multi-award-winning broker Satyan Meyra of iConsult structured the finance expertly. They waited, let the equity grow, then went back to the bank to use it as a deposit on their second investment property β which they are actively searching for now.
After a year of trying to buy, this first-time buyer finally got their keys. Our award-winning Barfoots agent Kelly Ozorio negotiated to midnight to secure this 2-level Panmure townhouse at $135k under E-valuation. Our multi-award-winning broker Susie Signal of VegaLend secured outstanding loan terms with a 3-month window to purchase. The property has potential to add a bedroom, further increasing value and rental yield. Project is under way!
